
Until 6/30/1964 The company was an administrative unit affiliated with the Military Factory 36, which is affiliated with the aircraft factories. It began in 1958 producing units of gas-operated stoves and hobs, then developed into a mass production of 2.5-burner ovens. On 7/1/1964 The company became financially and administratively independent from Military Factory 36 and became Economic Unit 360 affiliated with the Egyptian Aviation Authority and then the Egyptian Foundation for Military Factories and Aviation Industry. On 11/10/1973 It became managed under a corporate system and affiliated with the Egyptian General Organization for Military Factories by Resolution No. 16 of 1973. On 8/19/1976 It acquired the current name (Helwan Metal Equipment Company) by Resolution No. 93 of 1976 and was published in the Egyptian Gazette, issue 193.
